Pisi ehe jewelry is named after the doctors and nurses who helped us on the journey of our premature (born 26+1) baby Susanna.

Olga was the very first nurse we met when we arrived at the neonatology department. Very lively, talkative and helpful. Olga offered to take a very first picture of us with the baby Susanna. Thank you for that!

We were able to hold Susanna in our arms for a couple of hours in the new department. When the baby was being dressed again (I didn't dare to dress a 1000g baby covered in wires and tubes), I was shocked. What is the bright red, plum-sized formation on the baby's arm? "Oh, that? It's on the back of the head too," Olga said. She said it so casually and calmly, implying that these hemangiomas are so common in premature babies. But week ago they weren't there! There was nothing! It's surprising how fast they grew! Now they are lighter, protruding skin bumps, which can be corrected with laser in the future if desired.

Olga was specific in her communication with me and didn't allow me to be too picky. If she had shown me a certain action once, the next time the mother could already do it herself. But that's the goal. To involve the parent so that they would move from the shared ward to their own ward.

When I saw that Olga was at work in the morning, I still had a cold sweat on my forehead. Again, I had to try hard and pretend that I could. No, I still can't do the steam with medicine through the CPAP machine several times a day. "If more than 2 drops of Ventolin go into it, throw it away and make a new one. Otherwise, it will burden the child's heart". Wait, am I responsible? Define a drop? Huh? I can't, I don't want to! Where is nurse Kaija?! I didn't dare ask Olga any particularly stupid questions.

When Joel's mother, who was born at 23 weeks, was on her way to the hospital, I made her a list of nurses and doctors to help her adjust. What to expect, how was my experience. "Olga can be a bit harsh with directness, don't be scared". It's funny that in the case our opinions totally diverged. Olga was one of her favorites!
