Ordering information

Delivery time

How long does it take for your jewelry to arrive?

Upon receipt of payment, I will place an order with the craftsman to make the blank(s). I place an order 1–2 times a week. It usually takes about 2 weeks to make the blanks (in rare occasions up to 4 weeks). Special orders (based on your drawing) can take up to 2 months. Once I have the blank(s), I will create your jewelry which takes me 3–5 weeks.

The total delivery time of your custom-made jewelry is 3–5 months from the receipt of payment and your shipment (milk, hair, ashes). Special orders may take longer.

NB! If you are ordering your jewelry as a standard order and you have an important event coming up in the following 3–5 months by which you definitely wish to receive your jewelry, please be sure to include this information with your order and enquire about the status a few weeks before the due date. I will do my best to have the jewelry ready, but please do not assume this without asking as sometimes orders may take longer than 3–5 months.

I'm lucky to have so many of you who wish to order my jewelry. I run Pisi ehe on my own, being a mother of two, and create each and every custom-made piece with love. I wish that creating your special jewelry did not become a line job for me and with an adequate waiting time I can take the stress of rushing off myself. I hope you understand.

It is possible to order the jewelry as an express order. If I have the blank(s) in stock, delivery time is up to 2 weeks. If the blank(s) need to be ordered, delivery time is up to 4 weeks. Express orders are available for an additional fee (30€).

Sending material

How to send your material (milk, hair, ashes)?

How to send milk?

For the jewelry containing breast milk, I will need 15 ml of breast milk.

Breast milk can be delivered to me in three ways:

  1. I send you a small container to collect breast milk, which you fill with milk (15 ml) and send back (postage added).
  2. You send me your breast milk correctly stored and labeled. Read more below.
  3. You deliver the breast milk to my home (Tapa, Estonia). There's a Picapac parcel machine in front of the house.

The milk does not have to be fresh, milk from the freezer that has been there for years is also suitable. Milk taken from the freezer should be thawed beforehand and made sure that the breast milk storage bag you are sending the milk in has not been damaged. Before sending, please release excess air from the packaging (milk storage bag).

If you are not using my container, you can send the milk in a syringe (add the needle with the cap and tape it to the syringe) or in a breast milk storage bag. A regular mini-grip bag is not suitable for sending milk because it leaks. There have also been leaks with baby puree jars and urine sample cups, so please avoid these.

Unfortunately, I cannot notify each customer separately when the milk arrives. I will only notify you if there is not a drop of milk left in the package. Fortunately, this has only happened once.

Please keep the tracking number and/or receipt when sending the milk.

How to send hair?

The hair locks should ideally be at least 2 cm long. If they are not as long, I can use shorter ones, but then there should be more hair. It is better to include more hair than less, this gives me more room to play when creating your jewelry.

You can put the hair in a mini-grip bag or, for example, in a matchbox. Please try to find a mini-grip bag or package that is not super tiny in size. When opening the package, which is sometimes excessively taped, I simply may not notice the tiny mini-grip. I open dozens of packages at once. I put the hair in one box and the milk in cold.

Be sure to put your name (first and last name) on the package. If there are several children and several bags, please tape them together or put them in an envelope or paper.

Note about hair color!

  • Test how your hair will look like. Find a waterproof white surface. Place a small amount of hair locks that you would like to use in the jewelry on the surface. Cover the hair with water. This is how the hair will look like in your jewelry, under a layer of clear epoxy resin.
  • If the hair is light blonde, it will disappear into the white background, but that does not change the fact that the hair is in the jewelry.
  • If you wish to use brunette and blonde hair locks and blend them together, please know that the brunette will remain dominant.

I will not return hair or processed milk. I will only return the ashes and hair of the deceased. The preserved breast milk will remain in the Pisi ehe archive, from which more jewelry can be created in the future if desired. The repeat order is 7% cheaper (please ask me for the discount code). If you do not want your material to remain in the Pisi ehe archive, please inform me by e-mail pisiehe@gmail.com and I will destroy the preserved material.

Please label both the milk and the hair locks with your name (first and last name), not the children's names. If you forget, please write your name on the package and inform me by e-mail immediately. I will not attempt to identify unnamed material, and if you wish to continue with your order, the unmarked milk / accessories must be resent.

If possible, please send your material to Tapa Omniva parcel machines. All Omniva parcels will be delivered to the Picapac parcel machine at my home, so your milk will get to me the fastest and I can place it in cold quickly. If there is no Omniva at your location, send your package to Tapa Konsum Smartposti or DPD. Please do not send to Grossi Smartposti. Address your delivery to Helina Vares (PISI EHE), phone number +372 5348 6206.

You can send the milk (and other material) as soon as you have submitted the order. Don't be upset if the invoice doesn't arrive in your mailbox right away. Our invoices are issued and sent by the accountant.

When paying with a physical gift card, the gift card must be returned to me.

Specifications & disputes

How to make sure you get the jewelry that you wish for?

You can attach a drawing to your order showing where and how you wish to have sparkle, what style of initials you like, etc. This minimizes the risk of disagreements. Unfortunately, I can not take into account the drawings included in the package, all information about your order must be provided with the order digitally.

However, even if you include a drawing showing where to place something, please remember that it is a handmade jewelry and each piece will be slightly different. You also need to keep in mind the proportions of the workpiece. For example: the sparkle will look significantly smaller in a 20 mm circle than in an 8 mm circle.

Once you confirm the order with payment, you agree to start the order. None of the jewelry created by PISI EHE is subject to return. As the EU regulation states: the right of return does not apply to custom-made or clearly personalized products. Jewelry made from breast milk or other personal materials is a custom-made order.

If for some reason the piece you ordered does not meet your expectations upon receipt, the jewelry can be re-made, of course for an additional fee. Altering the piece of jewelry requires removing the milk stone, re-dehydrating the milk powder, pouring the milk stone, creating a design, applying the final layer – essentially creating a new piece.

Care guide

How to take care of your jewelry?

The jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver. Gold-plated jewelry is gold-plated with 18k (rose gold) or 24k (yellow gold). The blanks are made in Estonia based on my drawings. The jewelry has the silversmith's hallmarks.

We are proud to say that it is the only keepsake jewelry on the market that is entirely made in Estonia!

To keep your jewelry beautiful, some steps must be taken when wearing it:

  • Silver oxidizes (a dark layer forms) when it comes into contact with salty air, chlorine, sulfur, moisture, cosmetics, perfume or household items. If you wear it and then put it in a box for several months, oxidation is quite likely.
  • Clean the jewelry with a soft cloth. Oxidized jewelry can also be cleaned beautifully with a cloth, but avoid excessive friction, especially milk stone.
  • Remove the jewelry before swimming, sauna, sunbathing, exercising and going to bed.
  • Store the jewelry separately from other jewelry, in a dry and cool room.
What should you know about milk stone?

One of the components of milk stone is epoxy resin. The biggest enemy of epoxy resin is UV radiation. In my work, I use UV-resistant resin which I have experience with since 2018. However, any resin turns yellow over time, there is nothing to be done about it. The more it sees the sun, the faster the stone takes on a more yellowish tone.

There may be micro bubbles in the epoxy resin, this is not considered a defect in this technique. Each mother's milk stone comes in its own unique shade. Milk stone consists of milk, preservation powder and epoxy resin. The preservation powder itself is a white substance, so it also colors the powder made from milk lighter. If you have very yellow milk but you prefer white, let me know, I can add white pigment with the tip of a toothpick to adjust the tone a little. Milk stone is not all one shade, there are also tiny pieces of milk that shine through, some more, some less. They can be seen in almost every picture I have posted on social media.

Also other materials, like dried flowers, that are added in the jewelry may change color over time.

Can the jewelry be renewed?

Milk stone can be renewed after years if desired. I have your processed milk waiting. If it happens that I no longer offer this service, I will return the milk to you and you can have a new stone created by another craftsman.

Gold-plated jewelry can be re-plated by our silversmith without removing the milk stone. Gold-plated jewelry is gold-plated with 18k (rose gold) or 24k (yellow gold). All our jewelry can also be created in gold (585).
